Let me start this with a warning Life does not owe you a thing. The Get Down is a few years old now and I have watched it a few times now and every time I find myself thinking the same thing. This show was great or at least it had the chance to be such a richly diverse story with depth and heart that pumped a genuine love of these characters. You truly grew to invest in finding out what would happen to them and how their stories would end. But sadly you honestly never do. Spoiler the story ends and their future is never revealed but as I said at the start it has honestly taught me - Life does not owe you a thing. It was tough to accept that but in the end, I had too. I wanted to trash it and give it a low score but the fact is no matter the fact I know that it is incomplete I keep finding myself coming back every year and watching it just to feel that joy of interest I first felt and I always find it. I smile and laugh and keep hoping maybe one day soon I will get to finish their story. Definitely a should watch it’s always available on Netflix. Enjoy.
