With all this time on my hands, I figured I was finally ready to give this show a try. I am a huge fan of the book series. The new take on the vampire mythology was great. Now that I finished the series and saw where it differs from the book series at first it was difficult to accept but in the end, it was a really enjoyable experience. The story was well put together, the character development was great and the redemption arks were well flushed out. If there is a critique to be made it would be that the final season felt a bit rushed. Ironically, the final episode successfully slowed down enough for you to actually have time and say goodbye to your favorite characters. Don't be like me and put off watching such a great show. It is a definite Should watch.
